This is the complete list of Everyman Chess Books. Everyman has books on every phase of the game and every opening that has ever been designed. You will find informative books on openings, middle game play, end game, and just about anything you can imagine on the game of chess. The Chessbase 12 and 13 manuals say that they can export games in epub or mobi format, but you would need to go through the game, and insert the diagram symbols first. You can read pgn files as is on iOS/Android. For iOS, Giordano Vicoli's Chess Studio Light and ChessStudio can read, and play through annotated pgn files.
Books versus Chessbase (+ training modules)
As a beginner, I struggled for several months to improve and stagnated around ~1000 (daily games). With perseverance (and some help from people here at r/chess!), things finally clicked after a few months and I have been gradually floating to higher ratings, now jumping around ~1300 (1400 peak, hoping to keep pushing). I have been sticking to studying hard copies of books, and playing through positions on a physical board. While this has been working, playing through positions is a huge pain. I was curious what people's thoughts were on using Chessbase, and the add-on educational tools that can be purchased. I suspect it's just a matter of personal preference, but appreciate any feedback!
